Marco van der Heide is a former professional football player and the founder of 360 Scouting. After his active career, Marco has become a video scouting expert, spending thousands of hours analyzing matches and players.
For almost ten years, he has worked for professional clubs. At AZ Alkmaar, he reported to current Liverpool head coach Arne Slot as their opposition analyst. As a video scout, Marco worked for various clubs, ranging from Champions League teams to second-tier clubs.

After each of the first two lectures, you will receive an individual assignment to complete at your own pace. To receive individual feedback, it must be submitted within 12 days.

Complete the first scouting task by describing six football situations based on the tactical frameworks that have been explained.
- Apply what you’ve learned onto six selected football situations.

Complete the second scouting task by evaluating players based on individual player clips.
- Evaluate three players based on a playlist of their individual actions.
- Complete the task in your own time within 12 days.

A recap of the first two meetings, applied to the individual players we evaluated.
- Applying tactical frameworks to key match situations.
- Discussing all three players and their strengths and weaknesses.
- Do’s and don’ts for reporting verbally and in written text.
Complete the third scouting task by evaluating players in a full match.
- Evaluate seven players based on what you’ve learned.
