Assignment 1: Full match analysis
You’ll analyze a match from Ligue 1 to assign ratings and write reports about seven players. You’ll evaluate them as if you were a scout for Eintracht Frankfurt.
Assignment 2: Player screening
You’ll evaluate a Dinamo Zagreb centre-back, an NEC midfielder and a Benfica winger based on individual player clips through the lens of a Club Brugge scout.
Assignment 3: Final stage scouting
You’ll advice Hoffenheim’s sporting director about which striker to sign – the one from FC St. Gallen or KVC Westerlo – by comparing them in great detail.

Marco van der Heide is a former professional football player and the founder of 360 Scouting. After his active career, Marco became a scouting expert, spending thousands of hours analyzing matches and players.
For almost ten years, he has worked for professional clubs, individually or through 360 Scouting. At AZ Alkmaar, he reported to current Liverpool head coach Arne Slot as their opposition analyst. As a scout, Marco worked for various clubs, ranging from Champions League teams to second-tier clubs.

In total, it will take you approximately 20 hours to complete the course. That workload consists of about 6 hours of theory and 14 hours of practice.

You will learn how clubs use the seven most important tools to evaluate players (data scouting, video scouting, live scouting, contacting their network, internet research, agent info and player meetings) and which tools is useful in which phase in the scouting process.

We’ll break down how to extensively analyze football actions performed on the pitch by splitting them into four stages and four time-space characteristics.
Lesson duration: 49 minutes.
We’ll break down team tactics into five components: game phases, style of play, principles of play, patterns of play, and formations & structures. It will help you better understand the context of the players you evaluate.
Lesson duration: 35 minutes.
You’ll analyze a full match from Ligue 1 to assign ratings and write reports about seven players. You’ll evaluate them as if you were a scout for Eintracht Frankfurt.

Wyscout is a software tool used to watch video footage. It offers the opportunity to create playlists of individual football actions of players, such as dribbles, shots, and tackles. Almost every club in the world uses it, so learning how to effectively use Wyscout is a must when you have the ambition to enter professional football.
Lesson duration: 58 minutes.
You can understand football extremely well, but it won’t have an impact if you are not able to transfer your findings effectively. We’ll explain how to write great reports by introducing seven key principles.

In this lesson, we’ll explain the most important player competencies in three defensive positions: goalkeeper, center back and fullback.
Lesson duration: 49 minutes.
